What causes Lashes to thin?
A decrease in the hormone Oestrogen causes an inbalance with Testosterone and Androgen (male hormones in our bodies). And so they get a bit more influence hence we get hair in places that usually only men have!
Falling Oestrogen levels also mean that hair follicles produce less oil and some eventually cease to work anymore and so hair simply stops growing. In addition hair becomes dry and brittle and breaks more easily. So where your lashes are concerned they don’t get the chance to grow long.
The result - our lashes become smaller in length, sparser and thinner.
