Who is most likely to get Varicose Veins?
Varicose veins can affect men and women and they can develop at any age. They are, however, more likely to develop as you get older. They are also considered to be a hereditary condition. Some women also notice problems with their veins in pregnancy but they may also be exacerbated through taking a contraceptive pill. Obesity may also be a contributing factor. A study which was conducted in Denmark in 2005 proved that if your occupation involves walking or standing for long periods of time you are more susceptible to varicose veins.
