The Botox Injection procedure
The procedure is simple and requires an upfront full health analysis, a reputable professional sterile environment, a sterile needle and syringe full of the Botox toxin, and a safe well equipped experienced cosmetic surgeon or doctor.
Beforehand thecosmetic surgeon or doctor will have determined where to inject through examination of your facing expressions and movements. Your cosmetic surgeon or doctor will administer several tiny injections of Botox directly into the muscles of your face.
The toxin is injected into the muscle and the feeling is as per any injection you would receive in your life. As the toxin is released it works to block nerve impulses, temporarily paralysing the muscles that cause wrinkles, frown lines and eye brow movement causing them to relax too. The end result is that literally frowning is impossible and so wrinkle formation is reduced. A smoothing effect is seen almost immediately and this improves over the following days.
The full on result can be seen after 5-7 days and differ from one person to the next.
The wrinkle freezing effects can last up to six months. When they wear off your wrinkles and frown lines return if you don’t have more Botox injections. This is when addiction sets in as to maintain the effect youhave to top up time and time again.
Those who continue with the injections find that the effects last longer and longer – so in effect the more you have the longer the result lasts.
The entire Botox injection procedure takes usually around 10 minutes and does not require anaesthesia.
